Thanksgiving is the past. Christmas is the future.

So it has been 4 months since my last little shin-dig, lol. I really need to keep up more with my blog. So any way heres a little rewind of whats been going on.
On August 8th my friend Jessie had her baby girl, Charlotte aka Charlee. She is as cute as a button! Kayla, Craig, and Claire are all really good big siblings. And Claire even calls her, "my baby."

Then on August 14th (my birthday!) we packed up my sisters car and drove the four hours into the Baltimore Harbor and checked out the shops, ate some fudge, went to Barnes & Noble and bought our newest book, The Kill Order, James Dashner. Then Heather took me to Hard Rock Cafe for Dinner. It was a great time. To top off my amazing birthday, we went to our Hotel for the night and got to go swimming! I am a total fish out of water. And by 10 pm my parents finally arrived just in time to wish me a happy birthday.
The next day we drove to my sisters new school. Move in day for the freshman! It was a little upsetting leaving my sister behind, but I think my mom took it the worst.
The rest of August kind of flew by. Rocking the normal schedule of hanging out with Jessie and the kids or Angie and her family, and going to work. Dinner time at home was a little awkward in the beginning without Ms. Talks-a-lot, lol.

In September I started Claire in Dance class and she loves it!!
We go every Wednesday. Sometimes Mommy and Charlee come too.

In October we celebrated my Goddaughter Claire's 3rd birthday! She is getting so big I cant believe it!

I made both of these cakes! First time with fondant.

The beautiful Birthday Girl!
Hello Kitty was the theme if you didnt get that already, lol. And her first big girl party was at Build-A-Bear.
The rest of October was kind of blah, we even missed Halloween because of Hurricane Sandy! I was without power for 8 days. It kinda felt like a type Hanukkah thing. Oh and my parents left for Mexico (second honeymoon after 31 years) leaving me to deal with the storm and the flooding by myself. Thanks guys!

Anyway the birth of November brought new promises. I was able to go back to work on the 1st, because we were the first branch to get power and people needed money. I started a Thankfulness Challenge on Facebook, which is harder than you would think. Also my Godson, Alexzander turned 1! he is awesome! blonde hair, bright blue eyes he steals my heart every monday. Here he is with his "Thomas the Tank Engine" cake I made him.

Sadly I had to miss his birthday party, because of work but he is only 1 right?!
Thanksgiving and Black Friday. We celebrated at my Aunt Conni's house were there was so much food! I mean we could have fed an army, no joke. And this year there were two new little faces to be thankful for. I actually attempted Black Friday shopping and as long as your not in it for the overnight stuff its just an overcrowded mall. Got to see my sister for the weekend and we even celebrated moms birthday a week early so she could be here. A couple of more weeks and she will be home for Christmas! And I am almost done shopping, how exciting is that?! and its not even December yet.

The last couple of weeks at work have been a little stressful, trying to be the boss while we look for another one. i have been working 40+ hours a week and yet I still have time to do things that i want to do. In the last month i have gone to the movies every week.
The first week I went with my bff Angie, her husband Tom and his bro Jason. We went to see Ted and OMG! it was one of thee funniest movies i have EVER seen. The adolescent and vulgar jokes made it like a live action version of family guy (but with a teddy bear) which only makes sense because Seth McFarland is the writer for both.
The second week I went with just Angie to see Magic Mike. Oh Lord, watching half naked men strip tease on a huge movie screen. I mean it just cant get any better than that. It actually made up for the poorly scripted story. Basically Mike takes on an intern to strip and then he cant handle the cash flow and gets in a lot of trouble.
This week I also went and saw The Amazing Spider-Man as well. I am becoming quite a movie buff, lol. This movie was exactly that, Amazing. Peter Parker was more to the point and I didn't lose interest like i did with the original. I don't even think I saw Spiderman 3.
The following week I went with a minivan group to see Brave. Me, my other bff Jessie (in her 9th month of preggo) her kids Kayla, Craig, & Claire and her stepdaughter Rachael. Anytime that I get to spend with these kids i love. Claire is my Goddaughter and I have been in her life a couple of times a week in her short 2.5 years. So when she sees me, mommy is long forgotten, lol. Taking her to movies is the best cause she loves to cuddle! She is so adorable. Anyway, Brave was awesome i think it was the first Disney movie to not actually have a prince. Showing that society, that woman can live life without men. I love it!
Which leaves us to this week, yesterday. The trilogy ended. The Dark Knight Rises indeed. By far the most epic of the three. I give big props to Christopher Nolan a job well done. Not only did he make Batman awesome he was able to do it with three movies! I guess the props also got out to Christian Bale. Well done everyone.
And now I am once again off to work. See ya on the flip side.

In the past 11 months since I last posted I have been busy going back to school and dealing with work. But as i sit back and look at life around me, I realize life is passing me by.
In September one of my best friends (Jessie) started dating her now fiance. My other best friend (Angie) had a baby boy in November and boy is growing up too fast! Then on December 1st my grandma past away. It was a sad day knowing we were just ten days shy of the death of my grandfathers two year anniversary. It made for two sad Christmas's in three years. My family pushed forward and we made it into 2012.
January came with the start of a new semester and it was harder than the first. The day after Valentines Day, Angie and her now husband, Tom got married (I was the maid of honor). March I found out that one of my best friends Dean moved back from Florida, and in April we had Easter. Yet another holiday to remind us that my Grandparents aren't here. It was a little different not going to Granmas house this year. Oh speaking of the house, we put it up for sale! I never wanna see it go but nobody can afford it so alas, one day we shall have to say goodbye. In April, I also gave my sister, Heather her early graduation gift. A day out in NYC to see wicked!!! I love that show.
In May, I went on my first out of country vacation. There are no words to describe the breath taking views from our trip. I mean I took plenty of photos but it really does no justice for Prague and Vienna. I also met the Scorpions (Rock you Like a Hurricane!) on our train ride from one city to the next.
June has come and gone just as quickly as the rest of the year. Heather graduated from MAST. (Marine Academy of Science & Technology). She is no longer a high school student. We then had her graduation party on Fathers Day and I had for the first time in the lives of my Godchildren had all three of them in the same place at the same time. Madison, Claire and Alexzander. I love them all with my heart as much as their parents do.
So that brings us to July were we currently stand. I am still single and my job is stressful, but I still have the best friends that anyone could ask for. And from now until the middle of August, Jessie could have this baby girl any day. I cannot wait to meet Charlotte!! And if that's not enough my birthday is next month. I am going to be 27! I know it doesn't seem that old and your exactly right. I am loving my life right now. Sure everyone wishes there was something a little different in their life. But i know that one day I will find my guy and settle down when the time is right, when the fates set in.
